Happy 1st Birthday Emmanuel

This is a late post, a very late one. Reasons:
1) My computer at home crashed, so cannot do at home.
2) Too much work now, so cannot blog much.
3) I'm lazy, haha... (not true for nowadays)

Anyway, here are some of the many photos that I took that day.

Our favorite little boy has turned ONE!!!

Balloon Fight!!!

And here we have Lennel tricking little Emm to come after the balloon so that he can take a photo of him.

Always Joyful

Cake anyone? Comes with toys too. Batteries not included.

After taking a nap, Emmanuel was a little shocked to be suddenly awoken and a whole lot of people singing for him, thus the expression on his face.

The guys at the party.

And of course, how can I miss out the food. Couldn't take all, so these are just a few.

Chicken, i think. Cannot remember.

Fried Battered Pregnant Fish

Fried Battered Pregnant Fish again, just from another angle. It sure looks pregnant.

Vegetables, but I don't see any greens.

And this was desert. Chocolate Brownie with a Walnut on top.

Doesn't it look yummy?

Beautiful Skies, National Library and Stuff

One of my favorite things to take is skies. Especially when the skies are complete blue and there are a few nice clouds, nice. Lighting will be nice, the blue will be nice. Everything will be nice. I remember when I was young, I always liked to stare at clouds while lying on the floor outside, trying to identify cloud patterns, especially those which looks like dragons.

Looking at clouds and nice skies helps me relax most of the time. It's God's little way of reminding me that He is there whenever I see something so beautiful and awesome.

This was taken at Serangoon North when I was on my way to meet Zhi Xiong to swim.
Yes, it's the same Saturday that we had the laksa in the previous post. Perfect blue skies.

That HDB flat is now my model now.

See how nicely the shots turn our when the skies are so nicely colored.

Tree, oh tree, lonely as can be.

This was taken on the bus, on my way to Yishun.

These was after swimming at Yishun Safra, when we were walking towards the laksa place.

Huge dark clouds which doesn't seem to bring rain, not yet though.

Now this was taken another day at National Library. Went exploring at around, and we went up to the 10th floor.

Nicely colored HDB flats could be seen from the 10th floor.

And as you can see in the previous photo, it's kinda scary to look down if you have a fear of heights. How small the cars are from up here.

Ever looked up from the escalators outside Borders at Wheelock Place at night?

This was after playing Basketball with Pastor William at Woodlands.
Dennis, Zhi Xiong, Wei Loon and I were waiting for Dellia to arrive.

My last day at HCCC was the PS Dialogue.
Going out with a bang. ORD loh...

And this was just a few days ago when I was on my way home. A simple reminder from God to tell me that He is in control over all things.

Food, Glorious Food

Thank you Lord for blessing us with the food, we pray you'll cleanse the food, and bless our bodies with it. May you watch over our leaders and pastors. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Ah, my favorite section. Lots of food shots, as I was eating around. Maybe I should blog more on food, haha... Anyway, some of these are going onto "Joe's Must Try List".

P.S. Don't drool on your keyboard, very gross.

My last few days before I ORD from MHA, we were celebrating with KFC. Tuesday specials are a smart move for them especially since it was delivery. The box came nicely packed. As you can see, we ordered 10 Crispy and 6 Originals.

"That evening quail came and covered the camp" -Exodus 16:13a

Happiness comes in boxes sometimes.

This is something which I will not come across commonly. It was introduced to me by my ex-girlfriend. Chocolate coated marshmallows which they call Teacakes.
Available only at Marks and Spencer's.

This is the famous laksa at Yishun. Zhi Xiong brought me there to eat after we went swimming that Saturday at Yishun SAFRA. Lo and Behold, the tv show "Where The Queue Starts" featured it the next episode on Channel 8.

Oooo... I can smell it from here. And yes, I think it's better than most Katong Laksa stalls.

Popiah at Yishun where we had the laksa.

Zhi Xiong's Ice Kacang at the laksa place. All that is needed for a hot day.

Behold, this is the famous "Minicows". Available at Sim Lim Square Basement food court, look for the stall that sells Shanghai Delights.

Comes with Rice or Noodles. Simply delicious with generous servings.

Beef Hor Fun from Geylang Lorong... something, cannot remember.
Anyway, they are kinda overpriced.

Coffee Pork Ribs from Geylang.

And Vegees from Geylang too.
Eat your vegetables, they're good for you.

Gateway Cities Youth Convention 2007

Ok, finally I'm able to sit down and blog for GCYC. It was an enjoyable time for me while serving the delegates. Learned a lot through this as I followed Pastor William around, and had I enjoyed spending time with Chi Wern and Jun Liang at the GCYC.

Lessons learned for me - 3 P's
1) Peace - Have the Lord's peace in all things
2) Plan - Planning ahead
3) People - Be humble and helpful in all my ways

Roll Call of the countries (in no particular order)...........

There were 2 groups for GCYC. For us, we stayed at Salvation Army Praise Haven at Bukit Timah Road.
