Work

Work has been quite challenging and fun this few weeks. Here's something I made for the new website.

And just now, a curry puff fell from Heaven and landed on my table. Before that I was praying for someone, then I ended with "Lord, you know what we need, I pray that you will bless us and watch over us."

Indeed the Lord is good. He knows I need a curry puff. Muahahaha....

A Peek into Joe's Life

I just reached home a while ago, after watching the movie "Stardust" with Daniel at Cathay. It has quickly jumped to my favorite movie of the month.

I really like this kind of movies, mythical, romance and comedy mixed nicely into one. I liked the way they presented the whole show, story line running really nicely. Easily one of the better shows that are in cinemas now, although it opens only on 1st of Nov. Casting was good also, with pretty Claire Danes, funny Robert De Niro, evil character professional Michelle Pfeiffer etc, I feel it's a good mix of actors and actresses. Claps to Director Matthew Vaughn and crew.

I highly recommend that you watch this show as a couple, if you're attached. The couple in front of us was going "Awww..." at the end of the show. Glad they enjoyed it.

Anyway, on my way back, there was a plesant surprise when I bumped into Qui Yan and Pei Wen, my poly classmates on the bus. Brings back poly days memories, haha...

In the afternoon when I was at work, I went down to Lunar Club to take some photos of equipment for my colleague. Not exactly my kind of place, but oh well, one of the "perks" from my job.

And the other day, I got mee pok for breakfast from the very nice fishball noodles stall at the coffeeshop at Sims Drive. Then look what I found in the noodles man.

Generous servings of pork lard, as big as the fishball, muahahahaa.......

Skies are still beautifully painted by God, with nice clouds, and orangy skies.

And blue skies STILL makes everything look nice.

Oktober Fest 2007

Food, Alcohol, Friends, Family, Fun....

Too bad for those who missed it this time. Great for those who made it.

The Lineup
'Er... I think it was the tall one beside the Baileys.'

The Crowd

Our resident chef, Monsieur Zach

Bacon, lovely lovely Bacon

Marshmallows, a BBQ necessity

Our Chef takes a break with his Asahi Dry

Daniel: "Come on, just one more..." *Hick

Latecomers are served with Hoegarden, the only few there somemore

More Food and Scenery

The other day after service, Kelvin bought a box of Krispy Kremes to treat us all. Here's what we have, or had... Definitely heavenly food.

Just the box

Instructions: Remove cover, put in mouth, bite, enjoy.

Going, going, going, almost gone.

Just look at how it glows and shines.

And also, there's Chicken Chop Fried Rice from Funan IT Mall's new Food Court.

Jun Liang taught me to take this kind of photos for food

The new chairs at the Funan IT Mall Food Court looks nice

And of course, how can I miss out my favorite kind of photos, nice blue skies and majestic buildings.

Just in front of my house

From my bedroom window

At the bus-stop outside my house

Blue blue, my world is blue...

Parkview Square with the sun set behind

On my way to Work, some flowers and a Classical Car

Everyday I'll walk past this stretch of HDB flats on my way to work. And there are many small and nice things along the way which people hardly notice. Sims Drive does have it's own flavor of old neighborhoods.

Sometimes, you just have to slow down from this fast pace society and take a look around, then you'll notice all these little treasures around you. Although most that I took are flowers and greenery.

Fly Butterfly

The grass is always greener on my side.

Nice Flower, no idea what type though.

I think this is a Dandelion. When I was younger, I'll always pluck it and blow it.

A chocolatety colored cat.

An old abandoned bicycle waiting for it's master to return.

This was when I was walking home. Someone from upstairs threw down a bunch of rice, then all these birds came swarming down to eat them.

Red flowers at Yishun, near the Laksa place.

Yellow Flowers also near the Yishun laksa place

And there was this Volkswagen Beetle that parked near my house the other day. So decided to take a few shots of it after looking around (suspiciously) to see if anyone was around.

Love Language

After much motivation, I finally gotten myself down to do the love language test.

I think each time that I do my scores are different. Only Quality time seems to be rather constant as being highest. Also I think my love language may vary from time to time, since I die everyday, and am a new creation in Christ everyday, haha...

Joe's Result
Love LanguageScore
Words of Affirmation6
Quality Time9
Receiving of Gifts5
Acts of Service1
Physical Touch9

How to interpret your Profile Score:

Your highest score indicates your primary love language. Your second highest score indicates your secondary love
language. If two scores are identical, you are bilingual (you have two primary love languages). If the scores of your
primary and your secondary language are close (for example, 10 & 9 respectfully), it indicates both are important to
you. Whatever a significant other does to express love in either of these languages will get emotional points with you.
The highest possible score for any language is 12.

Having a clear picture of your primary & secondary love languages will explain much of your past behavior Think back
over the past and ask yourself "What have I most often requested from significant others?" Chances are your answer
will lie within the scope of your primary & secondary love languages. You have been requesting that which would meet
your deepest need for emotional love.
